From Emmy to Instagram: Compelling Content is a Winner

In this session, Adagio Health EVP & Chief of Strategy Alicia Schisler shares how her team tackles marketing and digital strategy with a “less is more” mindset—focusing on what actually works, keeping messages simple, and making every dollar count.

Schisler has spent decades telling great stories—crafting Emmy Award-winning content in public television, navigating corporate comms in the energy sector, and learning what resonates with patients and communities in nonprofit healthcare. The common thread? A strong narrative is everything.

Learn how she’s putting that strategy to work across digital and traditional marketing, advocacy, communications, and beyond.

About the Speaker:

Award-winning leader, strategist, and storyteller – Alicia Schisler serves as EVP and Chief of Strategy at Adagio Health. In that role, she provides high level oversight for External Affairs, while also taking on greater responsibility for strategic planning, growth opportunities, cross-functional collaboration across departments, stakeholder communications, resource allocation, and high-level oversight of Human Resources, Adagio Health programs, and non-clinical operations. As a key member of the senior leadership team since 2018, Alicia has worked to create a culture that fosters innovation, efficiency, and professional development for all employees.

Prior to joining Adagio Health, Alicia spent four years focused on corporate communications and content strategy at Range Resources. In addition to writing and curating content for the multi-billion-dollar company’s Annual Report, Alicia’s energy-related articles have been published in Oil and Gas Investor, Midstream Business, and the Washington Observer-Reporter. Before that, Alicia served as Senior Producer, Writer, and Project Manager at WQED Multimedia where her work was recognized with four Emmy award wins and 14 nominations.

She was also awarded a Media and Mental Health Award for her work on postpartum depression and received a Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters Award for Excellence. Her 2011 and 2014 healthcare related documentaries “The Last Chapter” (nominated for Emmy and Golden Quill Awards) and “The Empowered Patient” aired on public television stations across the country. She also produced the Pittsburgh nightly news magazine “OnQ” for ten seasons, along with the live politics, news, and public affairs program “4802”.

Alicia currently serves on the Mt. Lebanon Partnership Board where she chairs the Grants & Funding Committee, the Board of the Midwife Center for Birth and Women’s Health, PA Representative Dan Miller’s Disability & Mental Health Summit Planning Committee, and is a co-leader of Neurodivergent Mt. Lebanon – a special needs advocacy group for parents and families. She previously served on the Pittsburgh Business Group on Health Innovations Board, and is a former member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences where she served as an Emmy award judge for many years.
